About Twin Beech Cemetery

Twin Beech Community Cemetery has operated as far back as the early 1800's, with a rich history that continues to be discovered. TBCC was deeded and charted in 1930 by husband and wife Blanche S. and L.J. Broadwood to its association trustees Philmore W. Denton, Michael "Mike" Houston, G.A. Reed, Richard Young and John Quaites.

Twin Beech Community Cemetery is located in a beautiful historical community in South Fairhope known to most today as Twin Beech. Just off Twin Beech Road, it is a burial ground that offers graveside funeral and burial services. Within its 5 acres of rest, are many notable members of the Twin Beech community and surrounding areas. Among them are a minimum of 118 veterans, some who served in World Wars I & II and in the Korean, Vietnam and Gulf Wars.

Our Heritage

Oldest grave dating back to 1817 and chartered in 1930, Twin Beech Cemetery was established as a not-for-profit cemetery to serve historic Tatumville and Battles Wharf Community. Today the south Fairhope area is known by names such as Twin Beech, Kirkman Lane, Young Street, Battles Wharf, Point Clear, Brodbeck and Zundel historic districts. A surrounding community building on a tradition of beauty and excellence. Twin Beech Cemetery maintains deep ties to the community embracing the rich history and heritage of South Fairhope.

Our Facility

Located a little north of Point Clear, Alabama near to historical Battles Wharf and just south of Fairhope, Alabama. A beautiful area known as Twin Beech just off Twin Beech Road. Twin Beech Community

Cemetery has always been a unique place and vast urban cemetery. The challenge to present-day is to preserve Twin Beech Cemetery; for its past, for its present, and for its future.

Our Community

Twin Beech and its surrounding communities is very rich in history long before downtown Fairhope. It has always been a unique rich area filled with community love. In this south Fairhope community there were three locations that keep the community connected. Outside of our church connections were Anna T. Jeanne School, Young Street Recreation Center and Twin Beech Community Cemetery. I guess you can say church, school, community and the grave all built with love of this community.

Our Team

The Twin Beech Community Cemetery Association are all volunteers helping to preserve and reserve the cemetery for community use. This association formed in 1930 by five community leaders, todays team are the following: Phillip Pettis, Clarice Hall-Black, and  Valarie Holliman-Montgomery
